COMMUNITY disquiet about the way Wollongong City Council intends allocating its $200,000 tsunami donation will be on the agenda when the funding committee meets on Monday.

Lord Mayor Alex Darling, the committee chairman, said committee members believed they would achieve the best outcome by developing ongoing relationships with those affected by the tragedy.

The Mercury last week revealed that just $23,000 of the money donated had been spent. It was allocated in September to the Sultan of Yogyakarta, Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono X's Aceh-Nias Tsunami Orphan Foundation to assist orphaned Acehnese students.
