The curriculum called "Love is not Abuse" includes the nation's first teen dating violence hotline and a task force of teenagers who were in abusive relationships.
The network of teens, experts and confidants will give abused victims, who often feel ashamed and embarrassed, a place to turn. Jessica Lee thinks that's important, "Through the teenage years it's hard to go to your parents cause they're the last person you want to tell things to."
The National Domestic Violence hotline will run the dedicated teen abuse hotline. The center already fields 1,700 calls a month from teens trying to get out of abusive dating relationships.
