The Hoover family treks from Albuquerque to the Little Miss Sunshine pageant in Redondo Beach, Calif., to fulfill the deepest wish of 7-year-old Olive, an ordinary little girl with big dreams.

Ava and Tanzie Marchetta (Hilary and Haylie Duff) have it all. The heiresses to a multi-million dollar cosmetics company, the girls approach life as one big party. But when a scandal involving one of their products emerges, the girls are left penniless, homeless, and seemingly helpless.
