ET executive producer Linda Bell Blue says her show has made only one reference to Lachey and Minnillo dating: in its coverage of an Aug. 30 MTV Video Music Awards party.

"We have mentioned that Nick is dating Vanessa," says Access producer Adam Jordan, adding that his reports do not note ET but refers to Minnillo only as "Vanessa Minnillo" or "Vanessa Minnillo from MTV," a reference to her gig as host of MTV's Total Request Live.

But Jordan says he can relate to ET's quandary. Last year, one of his reporters, Shaun Robinson, dated Eddie Murphy. The couple even appeared on camera at Access' 10th anniversary party. Jordan adds that former E! News Daily correspondent Jules Asner was dating now-husband Steven Soderbergh during the promotional campaign for his movie Oceans 12.
